New Intel Atom Aimed For Smartphones and Tablet Computers

Intel Atom processor-based platform that the new second generation was launched Tuesday (05/04/2010), aiming for the market of smartphones and tablet computers which recently are rapidly growing. Currently the closest competitors in the smartphone market is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon platform with 1 GHz processor. Samsung also has developed a capability commensurate with processors that are both based on the ARM architecture. However, if the Intel platform will soon be absorbed by the smartphone market?
